Actions This Week:

CoEPCE Program Managers:

As reviewed at the Program Manager’s meeting the Coordinating Center has developed an online Portal in which to track your site’s important CoEPCE publications and presentations. This cross-site effort will lead to the development of a printable bibliography (site specific or program wide) and will ultimately be available in our EndNote Library in which these shared references can be embedded into your future efforts. Please be sure that you work with your Directors, Faculty and other program staff to collect and report on all presentations and publications since your program inception. The information required for entry includes the year of publication or presentation, the title of the presentation, a list of all contributing authors, information about the publication to include journal volume and page numbers if applicable, the presentation location and venue, the city and state of location if applicable, the presentation and publication date, the status of the publication the journal name and a copy of the associated file(s). There are multiple authors for this project so everyone’s attention to detail is very much appreciated. Please be accurate with spellings and other information provided as this information will become a part of the permanent history of the project.

The P & P portal will be open for adding updates at any time during the Academic Year, so you do not need to wait for our Fall/Spring requests to upload the information. The bi-annual requests will serve as a reminder to ensure that this data is up to date and current.

Please complete your preliminary reports by November 15th. If you have questions, please contact Laural Traylor.

Getting to Know CPRS! Trainee Tool

Kristen Zimbardi, FNP-BC of Cleveland partnered with the Cleveland CoE during the Learner on-boarding/orientation process this September and authored a trainee reference tool for the new cohort of learners. The Cleveland team found this to be an exceptional reference and has printed copies as desk reference tools for their learners, administrative and clinic staff. This tool serves as a CPRS primer using a case study to walk readers through an outpatient follow-up note. The tool has great tips around note signatures, clinical reminders, lab, medication and immunization orders, consults and other helpful hints. Many thanks to Kristen and the Cleveland team for making this tool available to others in our programs! You will find a copy of Kristen’s tool on the CoePCE Sharepoint in the Training Tools Directory.
