The VA Building Utilization Review and Repurposing (BURR) initiative has identified underutilized land at the Spokane VAMC in Northwest Network (VISN 20) in Spokane, WA for a long-term ground lease. The VA Spokane Campus is located in Spokane, WA. The campus consists of approximately 38 acres (and 15 buildings). Under the enhanced-use lease (EUL) proposal, underutilized property will be repurposed as housing for homeless Veterans and their families.
The potential EUL site contains the following parcels of underutilized land:
- one parcel of approximately 3 acres of flat unimproved land located along the west perimeter of the campus accessible from West Wellesley Ave.
News and Updates
- In an ongoing effort to eliminate homelessness among Veterans and their families, VA is proceeding with an agreement with a third-party provider to provide 60 assisted living units of housing.
- The Request for Proposal closed October 20, 2011.
- The Public Hearing was held August 10, 2011.
